Really? Well, I guess you should be glad she lets you play at all.

Yes, it is always helpful if you have a tolerant understanding spouse. I am grateful for mine. She also puts up with my couch-coaching when my favorite team is playing.

WOW I salute you minsc tdp.
I have just spent the last 1/2 hour reading this thread from when it started back in 2007. it was actually started around the time I stopped playing PC games back in 2007.
Some pretty amazing stuff.
The list of voice commands and ability to actually change how they are given is incredible. How compatible is it with Win7?

Works fine with Win7. Win7 has integral voice rec capability, so there is nothing extra to download. As Knepfler mentions (somewhere), the fact that the voice rec software has only a limited number of phrases to select from means that its accuracy and reliability are much better than when used for general-purpose dictation. But the quality of the microphone is important. And more expensive isn't always better. A cheap wired headset will work fine, if you don't mind being on a leash. But I wouldn't recommend using the built-in mic on a laptop. Good enough for Skype, but not good enough for voice rec.

Is there a way to edit the keystroke command files so they have a voice command attached to them so the when hit the key for commands such as "dive", "Crash Dive", "level off" or any of the other keys that actually give commands to the crew you will hear the command given?
Even if you had to record your own voice doing it or copy clips from other sources.

Back in the days of European Air War we used to edit the hell out of those files to change the entire scope of the game. As the computers got faster we could edit the base files to increase the waves of bombers heading to Berlin or the fighter air cover you ran into so it was more realistic.
Man those were the days. The sky was filled with plans and dogfight battles every were you looked.
I've since slowed down, that's why I turned to the sub games back in 2003.
