I have a copy of PTO II for the SNES that I picked up way back when.Pretty fun game really it has a good amount of detail but not so much that it becomes a chore(cough cough War in the Pacific Admirals Edition).

Looks like the PC version has a different interface not surprising as in those days titles where platform specific.

I am actually looking for newer replacement for this game but i cannot find any.

I tried Battlestations, but it is too arcade, it would be good if it had diplomacy and world map though

I tried War at the Pacific but it is somewhat too complex for me and i get text corruption after playing awhile.

i have tried Pacific Storm Allies but i do not like interface , and how do i stop that boring music/soundtrack that does not fit ww2 at all?

Is there any other good naval strategy game you can suggest me?

I love this game! This is one of my all-time favorite games for the PC. Ironically, it was given to me by one of my Navy recruiters right before I joined....I spent so many hours on that. I also bought the SNES version, which is also fun, but it's a lot slower as you have to manually move the mouse pointer around with the directional pad.

The original PTO was fun as well, as I had it for Genesis. KOEI made some great games such as these, and 'Operation Europe: Path to Victory 1939-1945' and 'Liberty or Death'. I spent more hours on these games combined as a child until now, since I still play them, than any other games combined.

Look at these ones, too. I got them off of Amazon, and Amazon has everything.

But SNES version is better experience and it has way more options and things you can do ( id say it is deeper )

I liked in the pc version how you could take control of army ground forces. AI always controlled the air..in the SNES version you didn't have that option.
