Cann thise boats be used as a life boats after sinking the ship?
The small boat on picture look gr8 , it is a game engine and maybe cann be used like life boats like we head in sh3. I think it wold look good.

Almost everything is possible, if you know how to do it. Unfortunately, I don't. One fine day someone might be able to mount this unit as a lifeboat. Meanwhile, you may want to take a look at this thread on how to attach SH3 lifeboats to SH5: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=176488

Hi folks,

new version 1.1 available, see first posting for download.

Contains only a minor change: This version adds a cargo ship of the Hog Islander type to the German side. The Hog Islander's silhouette bears a striking resemblance to a lot of German cargo ships build in the 1920s and 1930s, so I decided to include this ship in v1.1.

Quite simple. Choose a ship of your liking and copy its config file (e. g. KLCSC2SB1.cfg or KMSSHogIsland.cfg) from \data\Roster\British\Sea to the folder \data\Roster\Canadian\Sea. That's all.

Since there are already some Canadian merchantmen in the \Sea folder, the "new" ships will be used automatically in the campaign. This works for every nationality which has merchant ships defined in the \Sea folder (e. g Norway, Poland etc.). So if you want ships from Denmark, Spain or Uruquay you have to install the Terrain Harbour Flags Mod first.

I already have models of ships based on the "North Sands" and "Dale" classes, usable in Silent Hunter 3 and 4. Once Privateer releases his 3d model importer I will create versions for Silent Hunter 5.

As I already wrote your SH3 merchant mod are the best thing, that I need now in SH5...

Btw Dale class and North Sands are in this additional merchant ship mod. We need now all the others (especially smaller commercial vessels and large tankers around 9000 GRT) vessels from SH3 and SH4...
