Default OT... Pinggg Pinnnggg

Busy cleaning up my home office... I'm buried 'deep' under the table cleaning things and I hear a very faint 'Pinggggg'....

My ears immediately pickup and I freeze .... then again... 'Pinggggg'..
WHAT?? Then again.. 'Pinggg... Pingggg'

I jump out from under the table bump my head, rush into the lounge saying 'What's that sound.. do you hear it'.
My eldest son in grinning at me, the wife is shaking her head..
'Relax Dad!.. you're too paranoid...it's only Pink Floyd'

I can finally come clean too. I've been out at the shops and heard pinging in the background. It's a slightly un-nerving feeling isn't it? The only solution is to speak to the boats medic and get some of those pills he prescribes Bernard. These should calm your poor, frayed nerves.

20... He's got a very early song.. from '69 I think it is , one track starts off with soft pinging and then gets louder.. I have never heard the track before.. but there it was.. but I was taken back at first..
Just spoke to him.. Yes.. it's Echoes.

Ja.. it's my insistence that the kids listen to decent music.. and musicians. I have a few old CD's around that the kids have picked up on.
Well thank goodness they have made decent choices, old and new.

If he's into echoes he would probably enjoy the dvd "live at pompeii"
I love that dvd to bits, it features echoes in 2 parts, among other tracks, along with some trippy footage of Pompeii and the band recording in the studio (they're actually laying down some tracks for Dark side of the Moon)

PS i think your all nuts having ping noises on your phones. That noise just makes me think of hours spent creeping away from the tommy

I love the Echoes version on "Remember that night" by David Gilmour. A whopping 24 min or so. My favourite piece of music by far.
It makes my heart feel warm when a young chap listens to Pink Floyd.

How about"Careful with that IX, Eugene" as another obscure Pink Floyd reference.
