Actually within the nautical context of the forum, 'Damn' is permissible. Rear Admiral David Glasgow Farragut established the precedent famously at Mobile Bay while lashed to the rigging of his flagship, Hartford "Damn the torpedoes! full speed ahead" at Mobile Bay, 8/5/1864. His column of stalled warships then rushed through the field of tethered infernal devices to take the three forts protecting the major seaport and destroy the mighty Rebel ironclad Tennessee which had the temerity to take on the entire DamnYankee fleet(depending on yer point of view), inflicting considerable damage before surrendering to overwhelming numbers.
