In 1989 Denmark had a referendum, where the Danish people were asked if Denmark should be a part of the Eu internal market. The Danish people voted no.

Somehow the Danish Parliament couldn't respect this, so they negotiated a new deal with EU. Denmark got 4 reservations.

In 1993 Denmark had a new referendum about the same, but this time, without this four reservations

The Danish people voted yes this time(guessed it was 53 % that said yes)

There was a hardcore groups of anti-EU people in Denmark, they couldn't take this "yes" so they went on the street and started to destroy things

This demonstration evolved into pure street fighting between the protesters and the police. For the first time since the second world war, The Danish police, was forced to draw weapons and shoot at civilians in order to protect the victim and themselves.

Why I wrote this?

I hope that it will not go so far in Scotland, if it will be a yes or a no
