Ya just had to step on my favorite peeve that I like to pet.
 Actually, this is the very definition of "coincidence". Two separate events, happening independently that have a commonality. The fact that the actor stared in car movies did not cause the accident (especially when the actor was not driving). No causality, no irony. Irony and coincidence are not the same.  Hey, it is my peeve and I will pet it when ever I want to.  I have a car accident; that's happenstance A racing car driver has a car accident; that's a coincidence A driving instructor, teaching safe driving techniques, has a car accident; that's irony.
