Yep ... in the stockgame for example when you 'lock' a target in the periscope, the XO character picture pops up, I click on him and he gives me target info, along with the clickable links to the relevant TDC dialog boxes where I can manually input range etc etc.
With NewUIs (or MagUI) this doesn't happen - even with one of the UIs as the only active mod. The crew character icon (dialog box) just simply never appears.
Disable all mods and TDW patcher if used. Besides the folder structure issue with mods, did you try any other help listed in post #3 of my signature link?
Then verify stock 1.2 folders and files having dates from June 2010 or older. Look around to see if any files are much newer than June 2010 in your stock game without mods. There should not be any.
I'm away from home at the moment on a buisness trip overseas so I can't verify all the #3 info from your link - but will check and double check when I return. Come to think of it - I think I may have left the TDW patcher active, and I used Sjizzles .gps file, so I'll make sure that TDW is disabled on my return. Will definately verify the dates aren't older than June 2010 as well.
I only know NewUI since I haven't used MagUI. Possibly some scripts that are not stock left over in the data\menu\scripts\*** or data\scripts\menu\***folder or subfolders. NewUIs options fileviewer, editor may have to have something changed in ?officers? panel maybe
Hmm .... would you recommend a complete uninstall / reinstall before doing the steps in the first two paragraphs? Would that "reset" any potential script issues? I have done this before but TDW patcher was always installed and activated by me stratight away if I remember correctly.
