Thanks for the AAR Kap.
I agree its a nice mission which is just a little more challenging played from the USA side firstly
because Red posture is defensive, secondly the Ak can usualy, not always, get between the SSBN and the 688,
and lastly simple odds. Blue is faced with a variety of tactical problems.
For those of us unfamiliar with specificaly Kara and generaly with under-ice ops its a good test.
Some near-surface running for the sonar and dodging those ice cubes
I cannot agree that ''The SSBN op area be extended'' - its already nearly 4000 sq nm (65x60 nm) Again
it would have been very easy for SeaQueen to have added in more 'lures' but, although possibly more realistic,
imagine the players frustration levels. 7 days plus becomes 14 days plus .
An area with open water channels would allow 'localised' fishing boat (etc) 'interference' but also
would force the Ak to make tactical decisions about exposure v missile deployment.
Finaly may I say how nice it is to see that Kapitains long sojourn under ice has lead to such dramatic improvements
in his English, self expression and puncuation. In fact he seems to have matured in quite a miraculous way.....
Kapitain becomes Admiral ?
