Thanks Steve, I did purchase the U-boat add on also at Amazon. They're both downloading now.
Same problem I had with SH3.. Too many mods to consider lol! I'm reading the various posts now.. I like to keep things as close to stock as possible, so I'll probably do the GFO and RSRD mods. Does SH4 have a radio that I can add songs to like SH3 does? |

Thanks Red October!!
That's a lot of good information! Is it safe to assume the mentioned mods are all compatible? |

Yes.
There's a whole lot of historical music in the Downloads section too! As Steve said, there's both a radio and gramophone Quote:
I'd do some more research before you pick a mod instead of going off of what I've said. I know TMO hasn't been updated because the author doesn't mod anymore...but i'm not sure about the others. They could've been updated since I was last poking around here. My personal advice to you is to never play a stock SH game. Always mod up. It's your decision...but SH4 stock....it's just...meh... TMO+RSRD Campaign and Traveller's Mod pack is my basic setup with some minor tweaks. I love it. If you haven't already, check out my AAR (After Action Report) I'm doing over SH4. There's a link in my sig and it's in this sub-forum.

I definitely don't want ATO.. I have SH3 for U-Boats
![]() I want to experience purely the Pacific area with American submarines.. just to measure in feet/yards/miles for a change lol.. So I did DL the 1.5 thing for $9.99. Also DL'd a bunch of add on's.. So here is my plan. Tell me what you think. SH4 - update to 1.4 U-Boat 1.5 add on TMO GFO RSRD Do these work together? Would any one of them replace another (Am I duplicating anything here?). Again I like to play long campaigns, as realistic as possible, and I don't care about der U-Boats at this time.. Jeff |

Ok I changed my mind a bit. I'm going to start with GFO and RSRD.
I'll play with these for a while until I am ready for more. |

GFO fixes things that are broken in the game. The major supermods add a lot of things, but also fix the broken things. GFO is mainly when you want to not run any supermod, but want an unbroken game.
RSRD is designed to work with all supermods or none, being a campaign straightener. Just be sure to pick the version designed for the mod you're going to use.

Yes.
TMO and GFO won't run together. TMO is basically (IMHO) a better version of GFO. It adds historical accuracy and realism to the game. Tell me, did you ever play the GWX mod for SH3?

SH3 doesn't have a radio, just a grammaphone. SH4 has both. You can add songs to both, and there are several great Radio mods that add other stations, including Japanese ones.
