Default Polish Taskforce

Ok, sinking slow moving merchants is quite easy, you have all the time in the world to make your calculations, line up for a good shot, and sink them. Margin of error is high, as you have slow moving shiplength of margin.

If my calculations are off a little with those 25/35kts moving ships, all that happens is some watchguy spotting bubbles, spotlights flip on, and there I am crashdiving and performing evacive maneuvres untill I can repeat this fun exersize.

There is no use in plotting their course using bearing and range, as by the time I have a course, they change it. If I dont get them on first contact, all hell will break loose as some planes and our own taskforce will engage them as well ... when that happens I can kiss any plotting goodbye, and with my luck they change speed/course every time I enter som half baked solution into the TDC and pray to his holyness TFSM to guide my eel to her target.

So barring letting them go for the fast moving merchant a little further down, how does one handle them correct with their hulls where gravity wants them to be ?

Get as close as possible to them, in a position and heading as favourable as possible for a nearly 90 deg solution. If your targets are zigzagging, they have two possible AoB's relative to you. Cross the fingers and hope that when they cross your aim they have the correct AoB. If not, let Luftwaffe and the rest of Kriegsmarine to do the job thy are paid for

They suck at it ... Luftwaffe did not take into account that TDW would create IRAI, neither did ze Kriegsmarine. They suffer heavy casualties, while I theoretically should be able to prevent that.

They were looking for "Orzel" discovered the secret of another war. The wreck, which Polish sailors of ORP "Lech" examined during the summer in the North Sea , the British submarine J6 of the First World War. The British have not yet know where it is.

Accept summer materials Naval Hydrographic Office sent the British. Yesterday the head of the British arrived in Gdynia hydrography adm. Tom Karsten. He confirmed that the wreck, which investigated the Poles, the J6. Submarine J have been produced since 1914. In total, for service in the Royal Navy entered seven. J6 was launched two years after the start of the First World War. In October 1918, he was mistakenly shot by the British ship HMS "Cymric". - J6 went down, and the British long they did not know where exactly lies the wreck - says Cdr. Czeslaw quiet from the press office of the Navy. Inadvertently helped unravel the mystery of the Poles. - During a visit to Gdynia head of the UK Hydrographic Office, thanked the material submitted, expressed regret that the obligation on the North Sea wreck is not "Orzel" and at the same time declared that the British will continue to support its exploration - notes LCDR. Quiet. "Orzel" entered service in 1939. He was most Polish submarine. At the beginning of the war he was interned in the Estonian Tallinn, from where he escaped under cover of night. The crew, free maps and weapons, was able to break into the UK. Then she fought for years against the Germans. In 1940, he disappeared while on patrol in the North Sea. I still do not know in what circumstances. One hypothesis that has been accidentally sunk by a friendly unit, another that contributed to set the British minefield. Navy for years making a search of the ship. At the beginning of 2012, specialists from the Hydrographic Office MW came upon a trail. Checking supplemented by the British database, discovered the indescribable wreck. Lay 70 feet below the surface, on the waters, through which passed in 1940, "Orzel." This spring, the trail crew confirmed destroyer ORP "Chaika" , returning that way from the port of Belfast. In June of this year, the North Sea Gdynia, she went ORP "Lech", which was carried out on-site survey. Under water, divers went down several times. It was obvious that the lustration wreck is not "Orzel". - There were nearly identical elements, even stern hatch and rudder depth. Disagreed, however, the construction and arrangement of valves, missing or marks Bofors cannon, which had "Orzel" - informed the then spokesman Navy Cmdr see Bartosz Zajda.
