Dread Knot Ace of the Deep Join Date: Mar 2007 Posts: 1,288 Downloads: 85 Uploads: 0	Although many of the five inch guns installed on US submarines had been former dual purpose AA guns on the older prewar US battleships and cruisers, they were no longer fit for AA use as they lacked power assist and the proper ammunition.
