Default Argentine leader undergoes surgery

I certainly don't wish this lady any harm but in a political context and in relation to her opinions and statements she has made about the Falklands in recent times....I hope she learns to use her brain more wisely in the future.

Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has undergone surgery to treat bleeding on her brain, at a hospital in Buenos Aires.
The operation, which has lasted about two hours, is generally considered to be low risk.

It'd be nice to think so mate, but somehow I doubt that'll happen.

Storm in a teacup really, neither of our forces can afford a war over the Falklands. Hope Madam Kirchner makes a full recovery.

I hope her a full recovery...but only because the vicepresident is worser than her.

On the bright side, she (her party) is very likely to lose the next parlamentary elections (on 3 weeks) and the mood is the Kirchners are on the way out.

What's the opposition party like in terms of policies?

Just having a quick look myself through wiki, Binner looks like a decent chap, hard to tell what he'd be like in charge of a whole country though but he seemed to do well in Santa Fe. That being said though, looking at these articles, Argentina looks to have a similar situation to Japan during the 50s-90s where one major party holds most of the power and the other parties just can't get enough momentum to topple them, given that the FPV is very Peronist and Peron left a major legacy on Argentina, people like Binner have a major uphill struggle if they want to get anywhere. However, if there's one thing I've noticed about political parties, the longer they stay in power, the lazier they get, and eventually they let their guard down enough to let the other guy get in a fatal blow. Usually because they've screwed something up, and in both ours and yours cases, the thing that's been screwed up is the economy.
