Default [TEC] SH4 Commander

First of all a small introduction of myself

I work at guerrilla games you know that game company that created killzone well since I work there as an 3d modeller I learned a lot about exe's and stuff.

Now here is the idea, is there a way to open the SH3 Commander EXE and edit the lines to make it compatible for SH4, since im only a 3d modeller I can't edit lots of code so help from the community is appreciated.

Do you know code and know a thing or two about EXE your help is appreciated just PM me.

I can keep you guys posted on what im doing.

I recently downloaded PE Explorer a tool for looking in exe's
maybe after that I will know some more.

Hopefully im on to something.

Please read the FAQ and rules. This is along the lines of "What is Subsim.com's stance in relation to torrents, warez ,and piracy?" section. A fine line of terminalogy for moderators to explain further about the word "hacker" if it is good or bad to say. Patch terms are OK.

SH3 Commander is owned by it's creator and compiler, Jaesen Jones. He has said he also uses some of the code for other things, so he keeps it under careful copyright. If you want to change anything in it you will need to contact him, but be aware he has already said long ago that would not happen.

If you can write your own code and create something new for SH4, or find someone to help you do so, it would be most welcome. Trying to modify SH3 Commander without his express permission might subject you to legal claims from him and punitive action here.

Really?

Well, I suppose if you don't play SH3 you might not know. SH3 Commander is an external tool/program that performs several functions.

1. It lets you control parameters such as crew fatigue, water clarity, wave height, Time Compression and deck gun reload times with the press of a digital button, rather than edit those things manually.

2. Allows randomized effects such as malfunctions and sabotage, target ship tonnage and u-boat crush depths.

3. Allows you to set days in base, or randomize them.

4. Start patrols at sea if you don't want to be bothered sailing through the harbor.

5. Simulate a realistic career length by implementing captain retirement or promotion to a command position.

6. Simulate realistic crew transfers by having men transfer in and out automatically, and giving reasons for the transfer.

7. Have every ship you sink be assigned an historic name, cargo loadout and crew number. This is what led to my long-running Ship Names mod.

8. Supplies a crew name database allowing for 1.7 billion possible names.

9. Has a randomizer function that allows you to add just about anything you want. This led to my Loading Screens mod, which randomizes 100 different loading screens (created by others, not me) and 25 different marches for the dockside band to play, so it is different every time you load the game.

10. Has a date-based randomizer function that allows for u-boat skins updating automatically, grammaphone tracks to appear according the year the songs were released, historical speeches to play on the appropriate dates, and just about anything else you want to change by date.

11. Allows you to edit your patrol log after the patrol is finished, so you can put in realistic attack data and personal notes. They will then appear in your regular SH3 patrol log.

I always say that Commander does for your campaign what a good supermod does for the gameplay, and I consider it to be the single most important tool for playing SH3.

SH3 Commander also allows one to edit the crew, give out medals and promotions as the captain decides, not the game developer.
