Wait a minute. You are complaining that you don't see ads?

Yes. I know of a lot of people who have quit their "real life" jobs to be fulltime youtubers.

Like TotalBiscuit, much of his income comes from YouTube. Chrome just not showing
the ads and thus preventing me from supporting those I want is just silly.

And google = youtube, just kinda dishonest/unethical.

Maybe the government is behind it all.

I hate this newer youtube layout, and i hated the redesign from earlier. They keep making things more... layered, where as before it was right where you needed it. Probably some clowns trying to justify their paycheck be fixing things that aren't broke.

My theory is that they get some trainees to do something and they just apply their
changes to the site. I really can't think of another reason for it.

Its not the government. Youtube's new update is a pile of hot steaming poop. Up until the update I never had a problem. Now it buffers for 20 seconds then plays for 20 seconds and so on and so on.

Thanks for the tip. I might just consider Chrome. Although I use IXQuick and I don't get ads either.

I think it is great that technology allows people to choose to place ads on the Internets Tubes, and I think it is great that technology allows people to have them not displayed.

A technological win-win.

We must not take that as a serious model, eh? What'S next? Electronic sportsgamers getting payed pension form the state after they ended their "career"? Social networker addicts given social insurance claims?

All that does not compare to the constructive use of internet activity, like kickstarter campaigning to get a business project founded.

Also, if they need income to have their stuff posted, let them take entrance fees. That at least is honest. I prefer it to advertising any day. I see what's offered, I decide whether it is worth it to me or not. Done. Also helps against wasting your time with stuff you only visit because "it is free". If you want to see whether something is worth it for people, then look whether or not they are separating with their money.

For those of you who hate youtubes buffering bull**** (like me, its impossible to watch youtube videos on my connection unless I buffer them first), here is a site that allows you to rip the videos from youtube:

http://keepvid.com/

Also, yeah I agree, youtube has just gone off the deep end in recent years. I wish the good let's players I watch would just stop using it and find an alternative but I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon unless youtube starts really making it a pain in the ass to upload videos. (Seriously its easier for me to UPLOAD videos then it is to watch them)

It's not just PooTube that they have been messing with. I updated Google Maps on my phone a few weeks back and the simple UI for Navigation has gone down the above mentioned tube.

It used to work fine and now it takes 5 clicks to do what used to take 2 or at most 3.
