I see plenty of people who have skipped that line though in the rush to the outrage stall.

Information concerning illicit activity in restroom at the grade school level will not be offered. Minors involved. If you truly believe there has been absolutely nothing to report I wouldn't accept that belief. Back in the 80's when I attended grade school there was illicit activity in the segregated restrooms. It was not reported to the local papers.

So your supporting evidence is that it happens in segregated facilities.
In that case whats the change?

Talking circles Tribesman. The cases I experienced in grade school went unreported. Minors involved and not out there for public consumption or record. Evidence will not be found on the internet or otherwise. Not because incidents have not happened. If you really believe each and every child has been or will be an angel in the segregated or integrated restrooms I can only state you are naive in this instance. I do not consider you naive.

It will be up to the courts to determine whether the phrase "use facilities consistent with his or her gender identity" would include restrooms and locker rooms. There has already been a case raised on this that was overturned due to a writ of demurrment.

I am sure there will be others. And there should be.

In reading the bill, it seems clear that the intent is to allow transgender students to have access to all the athletic facilities equipment and facilities in order to allow them to fully participate in the athletic programs.

Access to specific restrooms and locker rooms is not a required part of participation in athletic programs.

I am sure the courts will straighten this out.

Whether transgender people can choose which restroom/locker room to use is an important question. But I feel it falls outside of this specific legislation.
