A great many years ago there was a joke going around: "What time is it when the clock strikes thirteen? Time to get the clock fixed!"
Unfortunately for the girl who sprang it on me, I replied "One in the afternoon." She looked at me for a bit and said "Huh?" I said "Thirteen hundred hours. One in the afternoon." She looked at me for a bit more and said "Huh?" It took a bit of explaining before she even began to understand.
