2. getting dismissed for being a dumb redneck. Engaging in conduct that is detrimental to the interests of your employer

Employment usually is.
Business usually is.
Since this is about employment and business then of course it is about money.
You are a hoot Tribesman!! Dumb rednecks? Is this any different than a dumb N(word)? Double standard friend. The R(word). Let's call them white trash and crackers while we are at it.

I don't approve of such language in the workplace or anywhere else. But it happens and by all walks of life.

It is about money. Meaning deep pockets that someone wants to get into. Not the first time someone with deep pockets was sued for any shred of evidence that a suit could be filed.

Also, I understand there might be some sexual harassment. That is a color of a different horse.

Read the last part of post#29 to get the point.

But this is all about the workplace isn't it.
I can call a bogwog "soup" in the street, if I call him "soup" in the workplace then that is another matter entirely.

Same horse, it is covered under the same legislation dealing with discrimination and harassment in the workplace

If you don't mind me saying, that is because you seem unable to focus.
Separate the issues and deal with them individually, then put them together for the whole picture.

For example when you wrote......

If the constructive dismissal case was only about Bubba being a lecherous git and didn't have the racist element in the complaint and didn't have his sister dropping herself in it at the hearing would you be as quick to say it is all only about an employee trying to grab some money?

Yeah, ain't that the truth. This whole situation is blown out of proportion, and is a sad commentary on the mentality of the general population. Say N***** and the world will demand you lose your vocation and any other benefits of life. I do not approve of derogatory language, but isn't it funny how freely people throw out the F-word, without regard to other people? I find the F-Word easily as offensive as the N word, but no one thinks twice about offending me (and others with a modicum of class).

It is certainly blown out of proportion.
Has anyone said she can't work or have any benefits of life?

Did a court order that her and bubba must close their business and stop employing people?
All that happened was one of her employers has decided to not renew her contract
If she feels she was unfairly treated by her employer she can take it to court under the National Labor Relations Act.....just like her employee did.

Poor Paula, now she will have to manage living only on those millions of dollars she already has and the millions of dollars she will continue to earn on her cookbooks.

If you grew up in the South, especially in the time frame that Mrs. Deen did, and you have never used that word then something is seriously wrong. This whole situation is absolutely ridiculous. It's not like she called someone "n----r" on TV or something. It's all about something that happened years and years ago. It's like crucifying someone because they called someone else a "caca doodie head" back when they were five.

Years and years ago?
It covers the 2005-2010 period.

You should know that in business, decades of building a good name can be completely destroyed by a single incident

The media empires/vampires love a good scandal. It fuels interest and interest sells advertising. They don't give a ratatouille who they destroy in the process. As long as they get their pound of flesh. Preferably barbecued.

Being in the public eye is like living in a glass house. It's best that you dress in the basement and not throw stones.

All true. This is the issue. Paula Deen said the n word after having a gun held to her head. She probably has said it other times. She gets crucified and loses what she has worked on all her life. Jay-Z says the n word all day and is invited to the White House. I don't care in what context, spelling or pronunciation the word is used. Deciding its OK for one and not the other is self serving.

It is not about cash. She has not said a word about lost endorsements. Her time has been spent defending her good name as she is systematically destroyed for no good reason by the media and court of popular opinion.

Funnier yet is Walmart dropping her. Walmart needs to clean up their own backyard before taking the moral high road.
