Default Agricultural Simulator 2013?

Agricultural Simulator 2013, anyone play it? How is it? I don't know why, I'm not even a farmer and it intrigues me! Looks like it has quite a bit of depth to it.

I don't play it considering I live smack in the middle of the real thing...

It might be worth a look.

What I've read about it and seen on Youtube is that it's veery buggy.

Stay away from whatever crap that UIG Entertainment releases.
I've been burned by them a few times, buggy games mostly, way to buggy for release.

Agricultural Simulator 2012 is a bit better, quite demanding on hardware though.

Might want to check out "Giants" "Farming Simulator" series instead.

Agricultural simulator has some really nice features that I would love to have in any farming simulator, like the whole fact that working the fields is an actual experience and actually affects the terrain instead of just changing the texture of the field.

However, the Agricultural sim series is just really unpolished. Buggy, incredibly unoptimized performance wise, etc. So much so that it pretty much outweighs any good things Agrisim 2013 has.

Yeah, I'd just stick to the Farming Simulator series. It may not be as fancy but its actually polished, not to mention that it actually has an active modding community providing all sorts of neat things.

I really hope Giants steals the terrain simulation from AgriSim though, that would be amazing.

Stay away from games like this. The creators/publishers are doing a horrible job each and every year on all their products. They just aim to make a quick buck, do not support their games, nor their "community".

I wouldn't even pirate this crap, really.

That's more or less how I see these little sims.

A Farming Sim is kind of a cool idea...but I guess these games aren't done well at all.

UIG has released 4 versions of ag sim and Every one has had exactly the same bugs on release ,2013 has had 8 months to get fixed and it's still crap - i'd promised myself i wouldn't buy another version but is decided to grab it a couple of weeks ago when the gold version was on sale at gamersgate ,anyway i knew there was going to be problems when i installed it and it crashed when i went to make an account,(yes online drm which means you can't play it offline when uig's servers go boom!).
After that fun i tried to update it download patch ,install then crash - rinse and repeat till it's up to date

Get the thing running then the fun really started ,between crashing every 15-20 minutes I had issues with implements sliding under the tractor so not being able to hook them up in the tutorials ,or restart after a crash and the implements floating in mid air and separated into it's component parts

The recommender system requirements are an out and out lie ,I've got a system that smokes the recommended but to only way to get acceptable frame rates is to turn all the graphics options to low - when it was released on steam ,one of the devs admitted that to get the kind of images in the screenshots you needed an Nvidia Titan card....

Get Farming Simulator 2013 instead ,not as many options but it works and there's a ton of mods and maps for it if you want to change the default gear.

Uhm... why?

I mean, why should a whatever simulator not have DRM protection? The type of game doesn't really matter, it is simply a *protection* system...

I tried Agricultural Simulator once or twice, but from what a friend of mine keeps saying to me, I hear that the developers are horrible.

I mean, with games like Call of Duty, you can argue that it isn't worth buying each new edition, as there simply aren't enough improvements every year. But at least they fix their bugs and make improvements.

Agricultural Simulator has the same bugs version after version. I mean, seriously, why can't they focus on fixing the damned thing before releasing a new version.

I just don't like anything to do with DRM.

It goes for any sim...but I was interested in this particular game...

Bugs and DRM.... I'll pass...

Well we all here hate DRM, I'm quite sure of that. But I don't see why certain games are not entitled to have one?

If you want nature and green and all that, play The Hunter. Visually and in quality it is lightyears ahead. You can let yourself getting invited to visit all six reserves now in MP, though you can only hunt one species in one of these. But it is a great way to check all places to see what you are getting.

Stay away from the sim you first mentioned. There is better opportunity out there to throw your money after.

I dont mind drm as such ,but UIG has used an activation code for all previous versions ,but with this one they've decided on an activation code AND an always online drm which is rather excessive ,it's just another un-needed issue with this thing.
