Do you mean, the only way to have the ships not veer to the left is switch to air aircraft then switch to a ship?

They will always turn to left (my experience), but switching to aircraft and back to ships preventing them sailing into land. They then sail from the beginning of the route.
Maybe they always want to sail in one direction (north, south,..), maybe this is stored somewhere in the ships config files, I don't know.

Thanks.

Sorry for highjacking your thread, v13dweller.

I wish you luck and success with your project, if I can help with something, testing your files maybe,

If you only want to alter the time of day, open the museum.mis with editor and change "CurrentHour" and "CurrentMinute", there is a weather type entry also as in every other mission file.

I understand this much.

I have been using Mission editor for quite a while.

I have been looking through large amounts of files today, and I was unable to find anything to do with the sharp turns.

I am determined to find the source to the sharp turns, but no results yet.

I meant you need missions editor for setting waypoints only. The time of day and weather, wind speed etc. you can edit with notepad. You can try different settings without opening the files in ME2. Exit the museum to main menu, alt tab the game, edit the values, switch back to game, load museum, should work

Maybe in AI scripts somewhere..

I have been using ME2 to set the time of day and wind speed, and it seems to be working perfectly.

Also would you have any idea on how I can get ships to fire through fog using their Radar?

I had it working a while ago, but it stopped. And now I am not sure how to get it to work again.

Also, will the ship reset it's path each time you choose another?

There I have no idea, sorry.

Only if you switch to aeroplane and back, I think.

This is my current setup.

I hope my setup is not in violation of your setup, since I have the ship in the a position as an attempt to negate the "Turn"

I have compared mine to yours, and if this is a violation, let me know, and I will not feature this into the release. I will attempt to find an alternative.

In my most recent test, the ship made a 180 degree turn just to keep up the "sail East routine" they have.

As the previous image showed, the ship was pointing at West, but when I started the test, it made a 180 degree turn and ended up pointing East.

I have tried messing with the Doctrine, messing with the WP and it seems to have no effect.

I think I have narrowed it down to that the ships want to just travel East, I have tried different locations, positions and area's.
The ships just want to go East, I seem to be unable to change that fact.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi v13dweller.

Ask TDW, maybe he can find some museum related code in the exe or act files.
