My first was a OM-10 too. It saw a lot of great service and went all over the world with me back in my travelling days. Still basically works except for a slight problem with the aperatue ring in the camera body.

With my very good experience with Olympus, my first DSLR is a Olympus E-500. Like it a lot.

Digital is pretty amazing, especially the post processing things you can do, but I am still amazed at the color quality of good old fashioned Kodachrome film. I was transfering some 8mm home movies for my mom a while back from the 60's and the richness of the colors are incredile, even with film that old.

I had to laugh at my daughter a few months ago. She was going on a week long 6th grade field trip up to the mountains. The teachers recommended taking a disposable camera for pictures instead of a digital camera and risk losing it. They said it happens a lot.

When I recommended that to my daughter, she said, "But then you can't see what the pictures you took look like."

I just laughed and went into my "Back in my day...." speech.

Yes sir, a great camera in it's day.....with DSLR the advantage of post processing options certainly tips the scales for me.
