TarJak's bit of crumpet on the side hits the news.

Australian prime minister dodges another sandwich

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard was forced to dodge a flying sandwich for the second time this month Thursday when someone's salami lunch was flung at her during a school visit.
Gillard was greeting children at Lyneham High School in Canberra when the sandwich narrowly missed her.

Life must be dangerous in Australia. I can't believe she had to dodge a sandwich!

Somebody should give this woman a medal for being so brave.

Hillary Clinton once was "taking sniper fire" and George Bush had a shoe thrown at him....but a sandwich? Nah...Too much...

American Diplomats killed in Bengazi? American soldiers dismembered in Somalia? Nah...The Sammich is the leading cause of wheat related nourishment.

Australia needs Sandwich Control. Citizens can only have one an inch thick (2.54 cm) and only the Government can handle anything higher than that.

BAN THE SAMMICH!

C'mon we have pubs with beer! How developed do we need to be?

That's a hard meat. That might've caused a bruise if thrown hard enough at close range. This should be banned from all short-length sandwiches.

You can't take our rights to salami away from us just because of one nutter with a sandwich. I'm a sandwich eater myself and have never thrown one at anything other than my mouth.

I won't take your rights away. But I will take your Salami, Bread, Hands, Mouth, Nose, and we'll need background checks and a waiting list for the deli.

See? No rights were violated here. We're all happy.

Sounds like the guvmint is trying to take my rights by stealth. I call for open sandwich rebellion to stop this salami slicing tactics of eroding my rights. I've got a Rubens and I know how to use it.
