I remember when you lost your mom Armistead. It's tough, especially on Mothers Day. But it's your memory of her that keeps her alive in your heart. Since you are a product of your mother, you can still celebrate Mother's Day with joy.

So, here's a Happy Mother's Day shoutout to you for your mom's sake.

My mom is 80 and has Dementia, just spoke to her recently on the phone. She'll probably outlive me.

Here, now you finally get to see what I look like. Well, when I still had hair. This was Back in Oct. 1999, a month before
my first daughter was born:

When I started 1rst grade, my mother had me outfitted in school attire with a satchel, rainsuit and matching rubber boots. That probably explains a lot about me.

My mom was the coolest person I've ever known. Everything from going hunting every year to my Jimi Hendrix story. On the other hand part of the coolness was that we were never really close. We were but we weren't. We could be around each other for a few hours every month, but any more and it started getting irritating for both of us. She wasn't really a "people person" and neither was my dad, and I ended up the same way. She moved to a tiny place in the middle of nowhere a couple of decades ago, and we lost track of each other. I've sometimes meant to go find her, but it just never seemed that important. If she's still alive she's 85 now.

When her mother found out we lived fairly close to each other she asked "You live twenty miles apart and you don't see him every day?" Mom replied "If something happens to him they'll let me know."

Happy Mothers Day, mom, wherever you are.

I still have mine and mothers day this year in the UK was March 10th but God Bless all mothers the world over.
