During world war 2 many of these ships were used to transport oil, fuel, and other similar cargo.

Congrats on your sinkings.
Thanks for the history - I was unaware they repurposed ships like that in the war.

Many Deep Sea Trawlers were armed, during the war and Passenger Liners were used as troop carriers or Hospital Ships., I came across one of the latter, between The Northern Irish & Scottish Coasts. At first I thought it might be a troop ship, but on discovering that it was a Hospital Ship, I increased speed so that I could get a closer look, as I passed it. I then changed course and left the ship to continue her journey. Not far from the same area, there is a Lightship anchored of the tip of Ireland.

Default What did you do differently?

Rhody-Dave,

I read your last post about not being able to find ANY shipping. What did you change or do different? Did you have the Med or Black Sea or Pacific mods activated and turned them off?

Yes I was not paying attention and had the Med and Black Sea mods active, hence no ships in the Atlantic.

One good thing, you wouldn't have seen any warships either, or even get depth charged!

It's an easy mistake, I had the Med Campaign installed and wondered why the Atlantic was void of ships. No wonder BdU were not impressed with my tonnage score. Instead of being an Ace, I was still on the 2 of Spades.
