Steam is pretty freakin' awesome, and Valve does all this stuff the right way. They're kind of like Google before Google became as cool as Google is today.

First of all you don't always have to be online, you can tell Steam to remain offline and generally play all of your games just fine that remain offline. Sometimes this doesn't work, and is the only thing I've ever had to troubleshoot with Steam.

You can download to as many computers as you use, there is a code system, but I don't remember exactly how it works as I've only had to use it once in nearly a decade. I remember it being pretty simple and easy.

You can burn your games to discs, you just go to the properties in your game tab, and bam! There's the option. Now you have a physical copy of the game, and it's yours!

Steam has the most amazing sales, and you never have to leave your house. And we're not talking 5% off at Best Buy, and they tell you how wondeful a deal that is on a $60 game. We're talking $30 games for $5, and $60 games for $40 or $30. It can get pretty nuts! Keep an eye on your wallet!
