So do I just pull into the port area, go to EXIT PATROL, then click the DOCK AT option?

Yes

As for parking the boat me i usualy come in at ahead 1/3rd then as i enter the area i wana park at i go all back full to slow down quickly then all stop when the boat is about to hit 0 knots.
