i see that in the pictures.
but even if they fold down you have a "step" in the trunk. maybe you can remove them and put them in the passenger feet area, behind the driver seat in an extreme case. That is what i like in monospace cars - they can be surprisingly modular  , and be awesome companions - get anything done.enjoy your new found mobility!!!
