These are so good. What did you use to create them? I don't want to rip off and steal your great work, but it would be great to get blank templates of these so I could run certificates off for my DID campaign commanders ... I even have a '40s typewriter (not German unfortunately), which I could use to type in the names ...

Just finished the real documents to the knights cross and the knights cross with oak leaves, to go with the "provisonal ownership certificate" (vorläufiges Besitzzeugnis).

If you have an old typewriter then you probably have some older books lying around right? You can make get that older "brown paper" look by using old paper from the "notes" section of books from the 1970's or earlier. Will be an older style of paper and it will already have aged.

Or take some new paper with a document type look(like stock paper for diplomas/buisness cards) and throw it in the oven at @250 for about 1-2 minutes at most.

I can't help you with the typewrite keys but if you really want to go all out.... Go to some estate sales. Alot of older German families live in my area in the US. Last time I was at an estate sale I could have gotten the German keys for the typewriter. Plus the old books obviously. I actually almost thought they were german naval engineering books(Maybe for subs?) when I was digging around at this guys house. Nope, just normal 1950's/1970's boat building stuff from his company's trade shows.

Those weren't the extremley rare droids I was looking for....

Or, if you have a program that allows you to insert text, download German fonts (there are several available) and put them in your Windows font folder. Most programs use the Windows fonts, so they will be available then.
