Unfortunately, I was not able to locate any IXB schematics at the library today. Also, the library scanners are still not large enough to accommodate the size of the Type IXD1 plan I'm trying to scan. Would it be okay to scan it in two parts? I will try to position it precisely enough to prevent overlap or warping of the image.

I might see how close the hulls between IX a/b/c/d uboats are. If they are pretty close, I will be able to use blueprints from c or d to build a b. |

"Type IXD1 would be given a large installation of six 1500hp motor torpedo-boat diesels for high surface speed (20.8 knots); Type IXD2 would receive the normal Type IX propulsion unit, but with a diesel-electric addition for increased range. The pressure hull had the same strength and same diameter as the Type IX. Apart from the diesel compartment, the fittings corresponded approximately to those of the Type IX, but the living quarters and stowage space were considerably enlarged to meet the requirement for greater endurance. The outer hull, however, was rather wider and higher, and now enclosed the whole pressure hull. At the bow, the S-curve of the Type IX was avoided by using longer torpedo tube flaps, and this lessened the formation of spray at the bow. The stern was now drawn-out in a very slim profile, and the torpedo tubes now were more effective at the otherwise unencumbered stern." (p. 150) |

Question.
I know the SH4 IXC can be exported by means of a .Obj file using silent editor, I also know that the Obj file can be imported into 3dmax and then re-exported back into SH4 by means of S3. Is there no way the flexible .Obj file format can be used to export into SH5. |

Hey keysersoze, could you send me those scans from the library too? I'm working on some game models and, like Mr. Avelany, I was unable to find any front/back schematics. Thanks!
