Default Top Drone-dodging tips-22 of them, as voted by Al-Qaeda

Some good ones, some...just a bit primitive:

Quote:
A document containing al-Qaeda's 22 tips for dodging drone attacks has been found in a building abandoned by Islamists in Mali. Here, we list all 22 tips.

Some smart advice there, and an indication into anti-drone electronic equipment as manufactured by (who else?) the Russians. You can guarantee that if the US builds one thing, Russia will build the counter to it within a decade.

23. Science flies you to the moon. Religion flies you into buildings, and as a result, brings in drone attacks.

^

This was a painful read. It looks like the Telegraph used Google Translate or a similar crappy software to translate the document from Arabic into a language which is akin to English...

Well...hard to argue with that logic.

1. It is possible to know the intention and the mission of the drone by using the Russianmade “sky grabber” device to infiltrate the drone’s waves and the frequencies. The device is available in the market for $2,595 and the one who operates it should be a computer know-how.

2. Using devices that broadcast frequencies or pack of frequencies to disconnect the contacts and confuse the frequencies used to control the drone. The Mujahideen have had successful experiments using the Russian-made “Racal.”
1. "Sky Grabber" is a easily acquired commercial software originally made to view satellite data which can apparently be used to hack into the UAVs transmission.

Not sure what 2 is referring to. Appears to be a standard Russian military radio?

You know, it's rather gratifying to know that instead of us always having to look over our shoulders, the situation has changed to Al-Qaeda leaders having to constantly look over theirs. The dramatic steppping up of drone strikes in the past few years has now turned the hunters into the hunted on a level not seen at the start of this war. Let the buggers spend the remaining length of the useless lives running away like the roaches they are...

Omg, what a read...

This one made me fell over:
4. Placing a group of skilled snipers to hunt the drone, especially the reconnaissance ones because they fly low, about six kilometres or less.

Because a few guys with old Soviet weapons is our first and foremost threat against our drones.

Surface To Air missiles just aren't as effective as bullets apparently.

They'd need one pretty big sling shot to reach that far never mind hitting a one
