Since the explorers program is part of the boy scouts movement and the boy scouts have a motto of "be prepared", does this mean Obamas secret army of Nazi dentists are really Preppers?

I was thinking about this on my way to work this morning. Someone has to pay for all the coffins. Anyway, FEMA does have coffins. The news agency report on storms and damage but touch very little on the deaths. Many bodies are not claimed. Katrina yielded 4 reefer loads of unclaimed victims. So yes, coffins are part of effort in so much as clean up.

But you got to love all the nuts that think these coffins are for the upcoming govt. takeover, not disasters. FEMA does have several areas where they stockpile plastic coffins, love all the youtubes of people going nuts when they find one. One nut wanted to know why they had rented a large parcel of land in Atlanta for the coffins, stacking 1000's of them. Feared something in Atlanta was getting ready to happen. Guess it never crossed his mind it's storage point and they ship them all over.

Driving to a site yesterday with a co-worker (who is vehemently anti-Obama, spouts the typical right wing talk show catch phrases and so on) when he brings up the "well, why has the government needed to buy all this ammunition as of late," point.

I assume what he said was the result of something that is floating out there; I am frankly unaware of the situation myself.

My reply: "You do know that there has been a conflict going on for more than a decade now; I'd wager that our ammo stockpile has been pretty well shot up and they are simply "topping off," the ammo tank, per se."

Co-worker: "Hmmm...I didn't think of that."

The insistence of looking for boogy (sp?) men in any and everything that the current administration is doing is, frankly, tiring at this point. People would be better served if they would apply their time, energy, and money to more positive venues, but the chances of that happening are slim to none I fear.

Atlanta is a major DC for FEMA. This is what is scaring FEMA at the moment and exercises have been performed. Look up New Madrid, MO. Major earthquake

Quote:
1812, January 23, 15:15 UTC, New Madrid, Missouri
9:15 am local time,
Magnitude ~7.5

The second principal shock of the 1811-1812 sequence. It is difficult to assign intensities to the principal shocks that occurred after 1811 because many of the published accounts describe the cumulative effects of all the earthquakes and because the Ohio River was iced over, so there was little river traffic and fewer human observers. Using the December 16 earthquake as a standard, however, there is a general consensus that this earthquake was the smallest of the three principals. The meizoseismal area was characterized by general ground warping, ejections, fissuring, severe landslides, and caving of stream banks.
At that time not much of a population. Today, thousands live in the area. Word is New Madrid has earthquakes about every 200 years. Check the date of today. Anyway, if a earthquake as witnessed in 1812 happened today....the death toll would be astronomical. Now, this puts in perspective why stock pile good at major DC for relief efforts.

Carl.
Yep thats another conspiracy theory that has been doing the rounds for a while.
It has cropped up here quite often.
The "truth" is apparently.....

Obamas secret army is clandestinely buying ammunition.
Vigilant citizens uncovered this hidden nefarious plot by daringly uncovering secret government documents in the sneaky form of public adverts which were published inviting tenders from companies wishing to bid for the contracts.
You can see how sneaky the plot was, only a really underhand plotter would make public their secret requests and detail all the requirements and delivery information as well as which different government agencies were ordering which stuff.

Titling your thread with the intent to gloat and referring to people a deluded sheep precludes any sympathy from me. I choose to act as a mirror to others. Treat me, the reader, with respect and I will treat you with respect. Regard me scornfully and you earn my scorn. I think that's more than fair.

I get a kick out of the idea that FEMA is stockpiling coffins in preparation for a government takeover. Like a government bent on mass murdering it's citizens would bother putting their bodies in coffins afterwards.

These are not really coffins. Plastic containers. No better than Tupperware. Used in situations like Katrina. Anywhere there are victims from a disaster. Have to remember, a person is killed in the disaster. The surviving family members are not calling the local funeral home. 10 to 1 that business is ruined as well. The family is picking up the pieces themselves. What to do with your dead family member in the meantime? It my not be the most gracious of containers for the dead but it will have to do until proper arrangements can be made.

I know what they're used for AVG.

My point was that those who think these "tupperware containers" (I like that ) are a sign of an impending government takeover don't seem to realize that if it were true the government would hardly go out of their way to preserve the evidence of their crimes.

Like the nazis and commies before them they'd do whatever they could to make those bodies disappear.

Yes, I copy.

I'm just astonished people dream up this huge conspiracy. Information flows like diarrhea in today's world. It would take some doing to keep 100's of people quiet that are involved in such a conspiracy.

After Katrina, the reefers of dead were to be taken into NO at night under police escort. Last stop at the crematory. This was not made public. Sure enough, word got out. This was just a 4 trucks and a slow roll into NO out of AL! People really think something of this magnitude could be covered up?
