Here is my update.
Two computers. One has SH5 on STeam and i was unable to get mods to work on that SH5, i thought it may be the 7zip. Well i bought a downloadable version of the game and put it on a second computer (seperate). That computer also has the 7zip function. I was confused by the mod tutorials because they did not "appear" to be using 7zip. So i thought i was doing it all wrong. Well i just tried it out, installed jsgme then a couple mods, put them in the mods folder which is inside the sh5 game folder. Ran the jsgme application and moved a couple mods over and they appear to be working in the game now. I am hoping they are stable but time will tell. Anyways that is my experiment with sh5 and mods, thanks again for the help. I still cannot get mods to work on the steam version of sh5 btw...oh well. |

Webster, I've found out that ZipGenius will also corrupt mod files when extracting them.
7Zip is the only one that does what it's supposed to and does it without breaking anything.
