Steam version costs much more than the retail version, and from what I hear, the retail one is less glitchy.

i dont know about all that but i know the steam version doesnt allow you to use the exe mod changes to fix the game and without those the game just isnt the same.

anyone reading this thinking about buying sh5

...buy the DVD version and help out our wonderful forum by purchasing it from Amazon.com by using the link in the extreme upper right-hand corner of each page here on Subsim. They send the forum a small piece of each purchase's price!
