Maybe you should go to sailor school. "Prow" can be used in place of "bow", but is much less common than it was in sailing ship days.

The Poop Deck is the officers' deck, above the captain's cabin on a sailing ship. The aft end of the ship is indeed the stern.

A portal is a doorway, usually a big one, commonly the entrance to a church. There are no portals on a ship, except perhaps the entrance to the grand ballroom on an ocean liner. The "little round window" is a porthole.

The prow is the forward most part of a ship's bow that cuts through the water. The prow is the part of the bow above the waterline. The terms prow and bow are often used interchangeably to describe the most forward part of a ship and its surrounding parts. In old naval parlance, the prow was the battery of guns placed in the fore gun-deck.

Since Submarines have torpedoe tubes in this area, the correct term would/could be prow.

Yesterday I couldn't spell sub mah ree ner. Today I are one.

We've been through this before, even a brand of humor must contain some humor, unless you like laughing at yourself. If I, after several years of knowing you don't get it, I doubt Steve will either. My fear is you two are so much like, that when Steve gets to know you, he won't like you at all.

Regarding myself, it's not about being funny or smart, it's about being right, although I do find myself smart and funny. You don't realize the simplicity of my stupidity came about at Ubi, often having to lower myself so I could understand and connect to the many stupid people there. I consider it my gift to humanity. Like Paul stated in the bible "when in Rome, act like a Roman."

Even I know "A/a" ain't a word, it's a letter, you can't misspell a letter, so I await your apology. Worse, you misspelled "spelln", eveyone knows speling ends with a g, so whoses

How do you figure that? In all the many sources I've read I've never seen the term used on a submarine.
