Question:

I have the Wilhelmshaven, St. Nazaire...mod v7. For me (but I could be wrong), the mod includes a modified GWX Merged Campaign. Is it really needed the activation of the GWX Merged Campaign optional after your destroyers mod?

This mod replaces the base campaign files and any campaign files in MODS so the_frog's ship will appear. If you want to use any campaign, you'll need to enable it after my mod.

Or you simply could merge frogs ships into your campaign files. Haven't seen the files structure of this mod yet, but this is how I'm planing to do tomorrow I hope.

Thanks, WB. Only I would to know if the campaign file in the mod is based in the Merged Campaign. If not, I must merge the scripted ships in my campaign, of course.

Seems I can't open Campaign_SCR.mis file with SH3MissionEditor from WB's campaign files for the_frog's destroyers (GWX St Naz)\data\Campaigns\Campaign. Mission Editor crashes and will not open the file.

I can only open the file Campaign_SCR.mis of WB's campaign files for the_frog's destroyers (stock GWX)
Any ideas why ?

Although the campaign files have been up on my MediaFire site they've never been formally released as I ran out of time to fully test them. There are two versions:

So will I see these new destroyers in campaign if I did not messed with Campaign.SCR file ? Perhaps they will spawn randomly with convoys ?
But if I must include them into Campaign.SCR I would like to get Campaign.SCR only with these destroyers added (Without other GWX units, as I always did with new aircrafts) and I would then merge it into my excisting Campaign.SCR myself.

I enabled the mod without Campaign folder, checked the museum - ok, launched a testing single mission once and it was ok as well.. Now I wonder wether the ships will spawn in campaign without campaign.SCR from this mod ?

I was wondering if you have any plans to update WB's campaign with VonDos' and other ships v2.7 to work with GWX 3 Wilhemshafen, St Naz, Schluese and extra ships V7 in the future? I know you are busy but, thought I would ask.

That mod almost broke me! Trying to test it drove me to distraction and put me off modding for a good few months, so I don't intend to go back to it (sorry).

I've effectively replaced it with my .mis files, which means that people can pick and choose which ships or aircraft they want to install and also makes all the ships and aircraft compatible with any mod or group of mods. It's a little more effort to enable, but in the long term it may save me from giving up modding completely.

Default Why do I have trouble then?

Several times over the past year and a half I have tried to install the ships via your .mis files and I have always gotten crashes no matter what. Ive tried with NYGM and GWX and neither work. I added the ships without the .mis files. Will they show up randomly then in convoys and TF? Also I made sure to follow you instructions using the mission editor and to no avail. I was wondering if you could post a copy of your .mis files and I would try and use those.

I have all the WB ships and mis files, and planes, without problems, in GWX and a huge lot of mods. I strictly applied the merge instructions, in the GWX Merged Campaign file. Not the latest destroyers.

The merchants - as the ships in MFM - appear randomly in campaign, without need of scripting. But the warships need scripting. The scripted merchants from WB mis files, as the Olympic class, have a determined path and times in the campaign (the Titanic has an scripted transatlantic route, historically acurate for that ship in her times), but the ships also will appear in convoys, randomly.
