Professionals of their work can easily live along with all those human emotions as side effects and still follow their ploted course, to what they believe that is truth of history. But I believe that the loss of wish to continue this project is the major key not to continue GWX at all.
You can try to prove me wrong on this, but I have a doubt you'll have enough fuel to run this disscussion to continue.

As it was with GWX4 project, it was like "runaway to bushes" to me and a closing scene of all their work from this point. No GWX4 for SH4 not even GWX5 for SH5. GWX just sank in the abyss, can you ask yourself why ? I believe you may only guess, but the right answer is up to GWX members who runs silent afterall.

It was posted 08-30-2009, 03:35 PM, hey no one forced to go into time tables present times, nor Kpt. Lehman should after all, you should do your job as slow or fast as you one as a team is capable at. In 2013 players do not care who will be the first one to complete SH3. You just have to move on with timeline and make necessary updates even if it were once a year, at least GWX will be moving forward.

Great. Nobody says you have to use it. Likewise nobody says you can't say what you want about it. But you are insulting good people because they don't live up to your imaginary standards, and it's not going to do you any good. There's nothing to prove, one way or the other. It's a matter of opinion. Yours is that it's unfinished, and that they are bad for not doing what you think they should have done. Mine is that you are beating a very dead horse and trying to shame people into doing something that is never going to happen.

I too am disappointed, because SH4 didn't get finished. That is what I really wanted to see. I also realize that it's not going to be, and there's nothing I can do about it. So I let it go, rather than insult the people who worked on it. The only full-war u-boat mod for SH4 is Operation Monsun. I wish Lurker had spent more time on it, but he didn't. There are several problems which annoy me, but I can't do a thing about it, short of learning how to fix them myself. If I'm not willing to do that, then I have no right to whine about it.

On the other hand the U-Boat HAHD project is looking like it might be even better than GWX. We'll see if it is, if and when it's ever finished. Then I hope they'll move on to do the same for SH4, as they said they might.

At least with SH3 you don't have to live with a mod you don't like. Try NYGM. Try LSH3. Try WAC.

But my challenge still stands. Rather than whine and cry about how they let you down, why don't you put your money where your mouth is and make a mod you can be proud of? Until then, rather than talk about the fuel I don't have to run this discussion, why don't you do something worthwhile?

GWX Team is a Non-entity.
It's dead, pinning for the fjords, pushing up daisies, crossed the river styx, etc.

Why can't people grasp that simple fact?
Why can't you let us carry on as We do now?

You were given everything for free and now you demand and try to guilt trip all the FINE people involved with GWX?

WTH are you to demand anything from any of the Modders here abouts?

There is no arguement you can make that will change anything.

You should just say so in short phrase: "GWX ppl got sick and tired working for free", I appreciate everyone involved init and I'm not demanding anything, I'm just trying to understand REAL cause of GWX end of survival. I believe nobody from GWX users are happy that GWX crumbled apart to somewhat foggy reasons.

I just want to say that no steps were taken to seek for the solution to maintain the project and to keep ppl who worked on it on the line after GWX3 went gold. If there were problems amongst GWX members ok, project could be suspended for better times and revived later..
There were options, but I think everything was done to shut it down on purpose.

Now you can start bashing my opinion calling me uncomprehending unthankfull upstarter if you like, whatever.

Well everyone has a right to have his say in a civil manner here, and you have had and used it. From now on, and given how this discussion is derailing, I have two options as moderator to keep the sanity and good tone in the forum:

a) Shut down the thread

b) Shut down the user who is causing blood pressure to raise all around

I honestly think that option a) would be unfair with the rest of people who are yet to have his say.

The one thing I have not seen mentioned yet is that most, if not all, of the GWX team have jobs, families, and responsibilities that had to come first. To devote yourself to a project as big as Grey Wolves was, for that long of a time, (several years), is bound to take a lot out of a person. One can only eat, sleep, work, and spend every other waking minute working on a modding project for so long, then it is just no longer fun anymore for the person, as well as any family/friends they have. The demands of real life must come first, always.

I'll get off the soapbox now and simply state, I have nothing but the highest regard for any modder willing to give his/her time and talent, to make a mod for free, for the rest of us to enjoy!

Since the infraction came from the website owner himself, he obviously thought so.
