OK, so this is the kind of scripting I hate - one that needs a load more work than just cranking up ME!

I've PM'd a few people to try and find the original authors of the planes and have deleted any models that already exist (e.g. Lancaster and Halifax) as well as those that are less relevant to SH3 (primarily Japanese aircraft). I've also reworked the Roster files (e.g. the de Havilland Dominie was used exclusively by the RAF, not the USAAF) and reworked the _en files in Air so the right text appear in the Museum. That narrows is down to seven planes I can script:
North American P-51D Mustang
Fiat G.50 Freccia
Macchi C.200 Saetta
Seversky P-35
Dornier Do 17
****e-Wulf Fw58 (I'm loving the way that subsim censors an aircraft manufacturer!)
de Havilland Dominie

Next step is to ensure they appear in the campaign with a test script (some aircraft models disappear, although I've never been able to work out why!) before I can research where they were based and start final scripting.

Modding is an addiction, and it looks like I'm back off the wagon!
