I too prefer RFB, but in defense of TMO I will say it can hardly be described as "arcade style". If anything it's just the opposite. The idea behind it is that perfect historical accuracy makes it unhistorically easy, since thanks to hindsight we know exactly what a historically accurate AI will do. The TMO concept is that by making more difficult you also make it less predictable, so the player actually has to act in a more realistic manner.
