My opinion is not, if we have to go there on purpose leaving from Kiel on 1st September, yes if:

- a new player base from where to start the campaign is set in Lithuania
- campaign start is anticipated to late August
- Baltic Operations objectives are set to intercept a taskforce of 3 Polish destroyers between Danzig and the Øresund strait. Nothing else.
- if we fail to do so before 1-2 september, amen: mission is failed, and we are called back in Kiel

It would be an hard objective, but players would be prepared for it, and they wouldn't waste their time trying to accomplish it

Trevally, what do you think?

The Baltic objective was made so you could get credit from sinking ships on your way back to Kiel from the tutorial. Perhaps plus 1 patrol.

The DDs can be added - but to make players hunt the DDs sounds like going back to attack this attack that

What I described is just what happened in reality. Nothing added

Besides the Wikipedia article on Operation Peking I posted before, if you can read spanish you can consult the following links featuring short reports of the unsuccesfull patrol by the 3 U-boats involved:

http://www.u-historia.com/uhistoria/.../u0031/u31.htm
http://www.u-historia.com/uhistoria/.../u0032/u32.htm
http://www.u-historia.com/uhistoria/.../u0035/u35.htm

P.S: attacking the destroyers should be optional: you can set it just as an intercpt and report mission

I had no idea the tutorial counted. That makes a bit more sense now. But if you skip the tutorial that's a long month lol

If BO gets attached to the tutorial, and we start directly from middle sea instead of leaving from Memel, that seems acceptable to me.

But its requirements and duration should be changed: they create too much expectations on OHII players, for what actually was a quick sortie with precise orders, rather than one of the usual tonnage patrols.

Like it or not, this is what is recorded in the historical accounts of those early days

After many different mod tries and installs, I finally seem to have a stable client that works for me. I got past the first mission and am on my way to northern britain to bag me a capital ship.

About halfway from kiel to Brunsbuttel I find this guy.... a small polish merchant. I'm not exactly sure how.

Just down the way towards kiel a few km I saw two uboats chilling out, and there are multiple warships on both ends. So I'm not exactly sure how he got here, unless he was stuck when the war started and is just trying to hide.

He did stop when he spotted me and just sat there hoping I would pass. I almost thought about it honestly. Felt bad for the guy. But I ended up breaking out the deck gun and tossed a few high explosive rounds under the water line about 1500m off. Didn't take many and he was down.
