I did not see the original story. And honestly, what is it about this guy that he gets the entire news organization to produce a spot about it? Stories like his occur everyday. It is still fodder for The National Inquirer IMO.

It probably had something to do with him being the star linebacker for a Notre Dame team playing for the BCS National Championship. You know, hero linebacker leads team to victory while overcoming great personal hardship.

Makes for great movies I guess. However, this one has a twisted ending! He has successfully marked himself and career. The mark of instability.
