Just read all the fine print on any employment contract/application basically you are assured of nothing in most cases it says somewhere that your job may be terminated at any time.

Even if you sign a contract "guaranteeing" an aspect of a job it almost always says somewhere else that nothing is "guaranteed".

The military is the best when it comes to this in short you will get to do anything and everything they come up.
