I thought Croatia came under EU Customs regulations, but no, they don't.

Like I said, I thought they were in the EU and subjected to the Customs harmonisation like all the other EU countries, but no. Not yet. 1 July 2013.

But I thought they'd legislated for Customs 2006-2009.

(By the way, whilst I'm doing all this I'm not working, which at the moment is all to do with Customs - I'm obviously loving it. )

Maybe I should write a follow up email. The vid card is reboxed because I didn't have the original. The memory is in the original box. Corsair do not even produce that ram anymore I'm sure.

Best regards.

@H-B

As a customs chappie does this look ok to you mate;

To whom it may concern.

I have sent this parcel as a GIFT free of charge and with no intention of financial gain to Toni Jurkovic. The parcel contains:

1x Gainward 8800GTX Graphics Card including connectors, (NO LONGER PRODUCED) reboxed owing to the loss of old box, therefore the box bears no correlation to contents age wise.
2x 1gb DDR2 800mhz Memory Sticks and cooler ( Corsair ), Original, boxed (NO LONGER PRODUCED)
1x DVD with install instructions in sleeve

I confirm that all items are at least 6 years old
I reiterate there is no charge for these components whatsoever.

Yours Sincerely

---------------

Best regards.

Default Email the Mayor?

How about we all email the local mayor a letter asking for some leeway on this issue, I personally find it a little sad they want to charge you for something that has not been purchased by you and was a gift of Charity. I'm sure the Mayor would be interested in boosting the international opinion of his Community and Country, or not?

Fubar

Looks ok to me.

I don't work for Customs, I'm just currently correlating their data required to what we have already in our in-house software.

I'd agree that community contact with the mayor would be a good move, if the letter above doesn't work.

I don't know about that, if enough emails were sent and toni007's local newspaper got involved it might get some attention though, and no politican likes bad attention do they? Lets see if they really make him pay to collect
