Jailed SAS Sniper Freed

First I have to confess ignorance of British Law.

Now judges at the Court Martial Appeal Court in London have cut the term to 12 months and said it should be suspended. They said he could be released immediately.

If the sentence was reduced to 12 months and then suspended, Doesn't he still have a felony record?

In the US a suspended sentence still means guilty of the original crime. It just means that the person won't serve their sentence in jail/prison.

Or is it different on the other side of the pond?
