Learn to understand that the great unwashed masses have lives too! Of course their lives involve reading the gossip mags and talking about it, so I guess we're not that different after all.

It is still non-the-less a human interest story. Many people do many things daily that get broadcast in the news. From zebras escaping to in NY City to kids in a soapbox derby race. These kids are even less famous.

But I agree, in the end it is meaningless and just fills some time slot or webpage space.
