I once prepared a vanilla version as I wanted it, without the videos, without the not needed language (10'000+ files) etc. Then I zipped it into a selfextracting .zip file using 7zip. That takes less than 1 GB of space. Whenever I need a fresh SH3 to start from, I use that file and within a couple of minutes I am finished. No disc needed.
