Strategy on attacking convoys

Yes he would and did, but from what I read only at night. And I still I don't believe any Kaptain would during daylight hours. Not even Silent Otto.

i am a bit rust after 1 year or two without the game but i always try to anticipate their paths and then i attack them while under the water because they can use cannons and other stuff to blow your submarine down.
but if you find a merchant ship or two lonely withou any scorts keep torpedos with u use the 88mm and shoot everything.
