Windows 7 is excellent imo, there is no need for a Windows 8 yet maybe in 5 yrs time.

People are complaining about win8's different tablet design but there is actually nothing that forces them to install this new OS on their PC.
Dont like it then dont use it.

Support for Win 7 is due to end in 2020. Hopefully 9 will be out in 2019 Q4.

I just hope the cost for Windows 7 Professional edition come down to where I can afford it. Then I'll build another computer for it. But I won't give up my XP for anyone... They'll have to pry my cold dead fingers from it to take it away.

Once you get a copy of 7, you wont miss XP one bit - and you can take that to the bank.

Windows 7 made me not look back on XP. Although XP is good. 7 is much better IMO.

It does seem to be that every other Win OS is the better of late. Hopefully win9 will be the better option to use over the...mess that 8 is turning out to be.

I skipped vista and went from XP to 7, no regrets, 7 is a nice system and hasn't given me any problems so far.
