Blame your retailers, over here DVD's and Games are released on Tuesday, Friday is saved for Theatrical Releases. This makes up for the games you get before us .

I only have 34 hours left to go(assuming my local store does a midnight release).

Well, my local game store isn't doing a midnight release so I'll have to wait until Tuesday morning. If I had gotten the steam version it would unlock at 12:01am est.

My ps3 just died the night before dishonored.

I can probably refund my pre-order for the PC version(if the store even carries any copies), but the fact my ps3 died is a major blow.

With a new PS3 slim I give dishonored a whirl.

Pros:
So far I've played for four hours and I'm still haven't killed my first target, just for the fact I'm exploring every nook and cranny.

The sense of exploration is great in this game, and not every path leads somewhere, I've climbed to the tops of buildings to realize it's a dead end(although sometimes there is hidden items up there).

The combat is amazing, few games have made sword combat as good as this.

The game is fully customizable. Even on the ps3 I can change FOV, bindings, turn on and off certain elements of the head, change the crosshairs opacity etc.

The sound is amazing, it immerses you into the environment you're in.

I love the art style, big fan of Viktor Antonov's work.

The attention to detail is outstanding. From the idle animations of the NPC's, to the fact your blade gets bloodied after combat(and actually stays this way).

The Cons:
Textures pop in at certain times, which may have to do with the fact I'm playing a console version.

Guard AI has shown two hiccups so far.
In one area 4-5 guards all ran off to fight a bandit I didn't think they would be able to see. Also I had a guard get stuck on a short wall. He saw rats on the other side, moved close to stomp them, and then lost sight. He'd regain sight, go "Huh?"(sound guards make when they see you) and then lose sight again.

The bandits have the ability to take a swig of alcohol and shoot flames at you. My problem with this is that they do it a lot, and that they seem to have an endless supply.

Overall, this game seems like a love child between Half Life 2 and Bioshock, it also feels like a Deus Ex game(except for the fact that the dialogue options are slim).

Depending on how good Assassin's Creed 3 and Hitman Absolution are, this may be my Goty.

Finished Dishonored a few hours ago, A very good game, I enjoyed it. Think I will do a not so non lethal stealthy play though, as I didn't really get a change to mess with the combat with the way I played it, though the little bit of combat i did was fun.

The developers attempted to sprinkle bits of background lore in the form of books and recordings around the game world, but I couldn't be bothered to care about any of it. I was most of the way through mission 7 of 9 before I just kind of threw in the towel. If you're that far into the game, that's when the story should be in full swing at that point and you should be really into it. Not so much with me.

Like Yahtzee, I was shooting for the "good" ending so I was trying to go as non-lethal as possible. It severely limits the game as you have only two ways of dispatching a guard if you play that way - sleep darts (which are rare and expensive so you end up not using them) and sneaking up behind the guy and choking him out. So for me, the game just got very repetitive: hide behind something while the guard walks his pre-programmed little patrol path, wait until he passes, choke him, stash the body where I was hiding. Rinse, repeat ad nauseum.

I was a fan of the Thief series way back when and if you liked those games, you'll have a bit of fun with this one. I just thought there was just something missing. Meh.
