For a while I had "CRAP!" taped on my C key, but nothing permanent. Was for more than just Silent Hunter.

Okay, I'm more obtuse than I had imagined. I wasn't making the connection with the key's function in the game. Thanks for the clarification.

No, I still won't paint the key, but at least now I know what the question was for.

Oh...I also have a backlit keyboard, so when I play at night all my keys are red.

Mine too, but I really should look at the keys more often. Being able to touch type only helps when the fingers are correctly set for such, games aren't.
