Deltic Class 55 D9015 ‘Tulyar’

One of the Deltic engines, some of which were also used in Frigates and Minesweepers

Peak Class 45 (iirc lol)

The first time a main line shuttle service has operated directly on site from Chesterfield Station

Class 37 and Cromwell

Shuttle train: soon

The Lancs & Yorks loco on the front of the shuttle

And that’s yer lot. A really good day out, definitely recommended if you happen to be nearby. It’s open most weekends on non-event days for you to just wander around.
Sorry for so many pics haha.

It's good to see Cromwell out and about, I remember it being on the local news when she had her first steam up after being restored to mainline service. IIRC I've been on her footplate way back in the 90s when she was at Bressingham.
Nice to see a preserved class 71 too, I thought they'd all been scrapped, and the Brighton Belle! Hopefully one day she'll be able to do the London to Brighton run again.

Is the AC Loco Group still at Barrow Hill?

Great shots...I'm off to the National Railway Museum at York next Tuesday but circumstances prevent me from taking my camera.

That's sweet. It inspires me to visit the train room tonight and finish installing the building interior lighting.

These are the last two buildings I finished recently:

Station Platform

Gas Station

The picture of the Deltic Engine took me back, I worked on them in Ton Class Minesweepers and Hunters.

Sigh...... I miss those days.

Cheers
